New cannabis festival to be launched in July

For about a decade and a half, a steadily increasing number of growers and patients have attended Mendocino County’s Emerald Cup, California’s premier annual weed competition in the heart of the Emerald Triangle, enjoying the festival’s heady mix of enthusiasm, camaraderie, and, of course, cannabis.

One ingredient, however, has generally been missing from the winter event: sunshine.

Tim Blake, who founded the fall harvest competition in 2003, is determined to remedy that deficit with his newest event: the Cannabis Country Fair.
